There's a quiet hush that rests over the world as snow blankets the earth. The restful peace of winter is a welcome reprieve from the hustle of the world. Nature's abundance offers a quiet solitude that comforts the weary. 

Inspired by my hand painted winter ornaments, each of these were painted slowly and restfully through play and experimentation. Each painting emerged layer by washy layer, through gestural brushstrokes in gouache. They capture the contrast of the rugged Rocky Mountains in soft blankets of snow.
