Goldenrod | Original Gouache Floral Painting

from CA$45.00
Sold

I love the feeling of walking through a meadow of grasses and wildflowers. As a child, I would wander through my grandmother’s fields and pick bouquets of wildflowers for my own mom.

Goldenrod is one of my very favourites, but one I did not know about until I moved to the forest. Not only is goldenrod one of the best plants for attracting butterflies and bees, it’s also inflammatory and so good for your skin. It’s basically a miracle plant.

This painting first began with a sketch, a transparent layer of watercolour, layers upon layers of gouache to get the colours just right, and then an ink sketch to complete the painting.

This painting is the sixteenth of 20 gouache original Wildflower Paintings released at 10am MST each Wednesday.

Each of these wildflowers are found locally in Alberta.

“Goldenrod” is a 4x6” original gouache painting on 140lb pure cotton archival watercolour paper. “Goldenrod” | Original Painting: $45 CAD + Shipping, or $55 CAD + Shipping Framed in a simple shell-like frame.

Ready to Ship! - Shipping Available Worldwide from Canada.

Confession: I’ve been a professional artist for almost six years, and I still don’t sell something everyday. In fact, the selling itself still feels gross to me. I don’t say this for pity, but rather for accountability.
