Venturing out into the mountains brings a sense of nostalgia. Of summers long past, the scent of fresh evergreens and campfires. The shock of feeling alive as you jump into an ice cold glacier lake. Memories so sweet you’d like to bottle them up. And the feeling of sweet, blissful peace that can only be found in nature.
It has been such a joy to get back into the work of creation after rest. I have drawn on my reserve of peace and poured it into this painting. Peaceful, meditative, restful joy.
These are the feelings I wish to share with you and your sacred spaces.
This painting was created to reflect the blissful peace felt tucked away in the security of the Rocky Mountains.
Atop the highest mountains,
Holds a sacred, secluded place.
Sheltered by the towering peaks.
Where my spirit can roam free,
In complete, joyful peace.
Painted slowly, restfully, and through meditation, this painting emerged layer by washy layer.
