I spent a few days camping at the end of June in Southern Alberta in beautiful Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. It was made up of all the perfect things for camp: friendship bracelets, river swimming, bon-fires and s'mores, a summer thunderstorm, and the most beautiful sunsets.
Visiting Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is like stepping into another world. A world full of sandstone hoodoos and ancient carvings, lush meadows and a tangible feeling of reverence for our ancestors and our heritage.
These are the feelings I wish to share with you and your sacred spaces.
This painting was created to reflect the the wonder of summer camping, and the magic of pure joy as the clouds part after a summer thunderstorm.
