New Creative Practice for 2022

This blogpost is long overdue, ahem since January, but necessary to share how I will be working for the foreseeable future.

I’m Ditching Collections….

Working in Collections, although smart in practice is a major anxiety inducing experience for me.

I love the idea of being tucked away in the studio for months on end, lost in creating a cohesive body of work.

But when it comes time to release it to the world, I’m filled with dread and anxiety when it doesn’t sell immediately.

I know this is ridiculous.

For some reason, I don’t experience this same anxiety when I release just one or two paintings at a time.

My focus has changed this year and I’ve set up some major process systems to make things simpler and more stream lined. I need to spend more of my time in the print studio, and less time in creation.

Here’s what you can expect from me:

  1. Each month on the 15th I will release two original paintings. One in watercolor and one in oil paint.

  2. On the 28th of each month, I will make the prints of these paintings available on my website.

Rebecca Sobbi Print Studio

Essentially you can expect 12 new original watercolor paintings from me in 2022, and 12 new original oil paintings from me.

You can also expect at least 24 new Fine Art Museum Quality Giclee Prints my website this year.

I’m so excited to work this way! I hope to create some beautiful, magical work this year. Works that speaks to your heart and adds peace to your home.

xo, Rebecca
