Each Intro to Pigment Gouache Kit includes:

• 9 Natural Earth Pigments in 10 ml glass jars - equivalent to a 14ml professional, artist’s grade tube of gouache paint

• Gum Arabic powder

• Calcium Carbonate powder

• Palette Knife

• Large Glass Muller

• Clove Essential Oil

Each pigment has a different set of characteristics, such as tinting strength, opacity/ transparency, and granulation. The pure pigments should remain vibrant and last for hundreds of years when kept in dry, powdered form.

Gum arabic is a natural gum made of the hardened sap of various species of the acacia tree. It is used as a binder in many paint recipes including Professional Watercolors and Gouache. It is dissolved in water to make an adhesive binder.
