“Dusk in the Desert” - an original 40” x 60” vertical landscape oil painting on canvas.
While visiting Joshua Tree National Park I was captivated and awestruck by the vast colours of the Mojave Desert, even in winter. I spent most of my time in the quiet solitude of the desert, exploring and capturing some of the most beautiful reference photos.
I truly hope you can feel the joy of play and the buzz of excitement that I've poured into this new body of work. I enjoyed the process of experimentation - not taking things so seriously and elevating the finished work to the next level of beauty. It's honestly been so refreshing.
This painting was inspired by the vast beauty of Joshua Tree National Park. It is made to express the rainbow of colours reflected on a surreal desert landscape at sunset.
